Minister`s Annual Leave

Neil is on annual leave and will return on Tuesday 11th June 2019. Rev. Fred Harrison will be covering for him and he can be contacted on 07703527240 or by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Neil Watson became the minister of Belhaven Parish Church in October 2017. Put forward as a candidate for ministry by Lothian Presbytery and trained at New College in Edinburgh, Neil is married to Elizabeth and they share the manse with their Jack Russell Terrier, Rudi.

Coming to the realisation himself that this life is not the only thing on offer but that there is hope, comfort and meaning to be had through an everlasting relationship with God, through Jesus, Neil loves sharing that with the people of Belhaven, Spott and the wider Dunbar area.

Having grown up and lived in the Lothians all his life, Neil is passionate about seeing God move throughout its counties, so it is an absolute privilege for him to be called by God to minister in East Lothian.

“I am excited about the journey God has in store for us and hope to be the minister here for many years to come!”

DUNBAR CHURCHES TOGETHER

A chance to pray and reflect on the evening of the date when the UK is due to leave the European Union*

A simple lay-led service with prayers, silence, and time for reflection on the needs of our communities in Dunbar, in Scotland, across the UK, and Europe as a whole.

Church leaders are calling on Christians to pray at this time. This will be a sensitive event to bring together those who voted Remain and Leave and those who could not vote to pray collectively for our communities and political leaders.

7pm – Thursday 28 March 2019

OUR LADY OF THE WAVES CHURCH

Dunbar High Street EH42 1JL (Opposite Dunbar Swimming Pool)

Refreshments available afterwards for those who would like to stay and talk

*Even if the Article 50 process is extended and the UK’s departure from the EU is delayed, the service will proceed to allow prayer for our leaders at this time.
