Our food bank donations will be gathered on Sunday 13th January. The latest "Food bank buddy e-mail" from Anne is as follows for information:-
Good morning everyone,
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL. I hope you have enjoyed a blessed Christmas and that 2019 brings all you wish for and more.
On Wednesday 19th December, we issued our clients with enough food for two weeks as we did not meet on the 26th. We were also able to give them a Christmas bag full of Christmas goodies.
We were involved in the Community lunch on Christmas Day in the Parish Church Hall. The meal, presents and the atmosphere led to a most enjoyable day for everyone there.
We were back on duty on Wednesday last (2nd January) where we met with clients and friends to enjoy soup, Christmas baking, and chat.
As you can imagine, we have used up a lot of stock over the past few weeks. To that end, we now have shortages of the following:-
TOILET ROLLS; TINS OF IRISH STEW, MACARONI, POTATOES, CARROTS and SWEETCORN.
WE DO NOT NEED DONATIONS OF PASTA, BAKED BEAN or SOUP. PLEASE DO NOT DONATE THESE AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME.
Our continued thanks and appreciation of your wonderful support. Your donations make such a difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our community. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
